Zionsville is known for its historic charm, brick Main Street and period architecture dating back to the mid-19th century. There are a few signs that spring has arrived in Zionsville, first, the gorgeous tulip tree is blooming at the Brick Street Inn and the Brick Street Market kicks off.
Market Eve occurs on a Friday in mid-May and is a great night of food, craft beers, wine and music in the street. It is for 21 and over only. The art galleries on Main Street stay open until late in the evening. Then on Saturday, 200 vendors, artists and handcraft artisans showing their original art under the traditional white tents runs from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
Zionsville is full of summer fun too. The Village is home of the Zionsville Farmer’s Market every Saturday morning from May until September, as well as the Brick Street Gallery Walk, The Lions’ Club 4th of July Celebration in Lyon’s Park and the Zionsville Street Dance and Taste of Zionsville.
Fall brings the Lion’s Club Fall Festival, kicking the weekend off with a grand parade through Zionsville, the Sullivan-Munce Museum Ghost Walk and Pumpkins & Hayrides at Lion’s Park.
The year closes with a month-long celebration, Christmas in the Village, the lighting of the tree, complete with Santa and horse-drawn carriage rides, extended shop hours and lots of holiday charm.
The Zionsville Performing Arts Center has a diverse and consistently high quality year-round entertainment schedule and of course you can’t beat the diverse tasty dining options that abound in downtown Zionsville. You can start at Hopwood, a local winery and move to a number of exciting restaurant options.
